Are you new to the whole Internet thing? In real life, maybe 50-60% of the public agrees with your position, on the Internet, it's 80% against you. And on Gawker Media, it's more like 95% against. Best to just not argue and keep your head down and mind your own business.

I got attacked on the FP on the article where Jason (?) complained about people selling their swag from car shows. I responded to a guy asking who buys that stuff. I suggested collectors but the price was way too high for me to even consider. The guy came at me with free market, people can charge what they want if people will pay.

I of course responded he was right, but as I had stated, I wouldn't pay that much. He had no reply.

Tl;dr I was briefly berated on the FP by someone right of center bc they couldn't read and assumed I'm communist.

It's almost impossible to have a reasonable, non-personal-insulty-filled discussion about guns on the Internet.

ESPECIALLY if you are moderate on the topic.

To the anti-gun people you are a gun nut. "I can't believe you support the tools of child killers." They will be ignorant of almost every aspect of firearm use and ownership aside from what misinformation they learned from the news. They probably think Glocks are used in a lot of crimes because that's what rap guys sing about. Most common gun used? .38 REVOLVER.

To the gun people you are a gun grabber. "I can't believe you support making the M134 illegal for civilian ownership. You are a pawn to the government." The ignorance in this crowd stems from the fact that not all guns are created equal. Usually some shortsightedness about utility vs. tacticool.
